The MSc in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (MCBBI) of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa provides a multidisciplinary training in the interface between Life Sciences and Information Technology. This advanced course is implemented by five complementary NOVA Schools: NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB NOVA), NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS), NOVA Medical School (NOVA MS) and Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT NOVA). +info

Career Paths

The Master’s Degree in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics
aims to provide solid skills in gathering novel biomedical knowledge through computational approaches.

Such skills are indispensable to bring innovation in different areas of Biomedicine,
such as drug discovery, optimization of treatment schemes or Personalized Medicine,
and to aid in the design and optimization of biotechnological processes.

Graduates can follow career paths in education and research and development areas (R&D)
